NICE want patients’ opinions on new drug for hyperhidrosis

The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) is undertaking a technology appraisal of a new drug for hyperhidrosis. It is actually an old drug, glycopyrronium bromide but in the form of a cream for treating severe axillary hyperhidrosis. Details can be found on the NICE website. Glycopyrronium bromide, often called glycopyrrolate, is an anticholinergic drug that is licensed for use with iontophoresis for hyperhidrosis.

Patient involvement is a key element of NICE decisions.
